Firmly mid-market
by kunk on Jul.23, 2009, under Uncategorized
The Capsule collections every year bring up an interesting point among me and my other personalities; where does a mid market brand, a la Filippa K, Corpus, Endovanera fit in the fashion/retail spectrum? I’d have to imagine firmly nowhere right now. I find that often you can find similar quality of construction at decidedly less expensive places like Zara or even H & M (at least for outerwear) and the global depression has meant that if you’re willing to wait a month or two, you can get better constructed/higher profile brand goods for near mid-market prices. I may be completely wrong about this from a sales perspective but I have to think the highest highs and lowest lows are the ones who have the best chance of survival.

There is nothing more boring than a chicken breast. It is the James Joyce of the food world. This is a recipe that makes it more tolerable.
10-12oz. Chicken breast
1.5 cups of whole peeled tomatoes
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup sun dried tomatoes
1/4 cup roasted red pepper
2 tbspn sugar
2 tbspn salt
1 tbspn black pepper
1 box of ziti
1 cup sour cream
Over medium heat, sautee onion and garlic in olive oil. Once soft, add everything but the sour cream and the ziti and chicken (which you cook separately which should be obvious depending on your level of stupidity). Cube the chicken and add it to the sauce. Remove from heat and add the sour cream. Stir in, serve over ziti and enjoy.
