Marinades

Much as I’d like a porterhouse every night, it is not going to happen. We have 3 boys and all organic, all prime seems a bit ridiculous in this economy. Here are some marinades that will help the chuck and sirloin taste better after a few hours in the fridge provided yours hasn’t been repossessed.
These assume you are working with 8-12 oz. of sirloin, chuck, shoulder, room mate’s shoulder, etc. They generally work for chicken, too, if you are a real pussy and avoid red meat.
4 oz. olive oil, 2 tspn. oregano, 2 tbspn lemon juice, salt & pepper to taste
here’s another:
2 oz peanut oil, 1 oz sesame oil, 2 tbspn sriracha, 2 tbspn soy sauce, 1 tspn dried basil, 2 tbspn rice wine vinegar

Don’t even think about posting your bbq sauce recipe or I’ll divorce you. Seriously it’s so damn good you should bottle it up and sell it!

I tried the steak recipe you posted in my SF thread and it was great! Thanks. BTW not to delve into personal matters but why do you have/need a blog?

i honestly have no idea. my business partner suggested it and was horrified to know I had thousands of posts on forums and said I might as well keep them all in one place where people can choose to read them.
